Canine Hoopers Adelaide

A gentle, low-impact dog sport focused on communication, confidence, and connection between you and your dog

What is CANINE HOOPERS?

Awlays through, never over

Canine Hoopers (or Hoopers) is a dog sport built around flowing courses made from low-impact obstacles such as hoops and tunnels. Instead of jumping or climbing equipment, dogs move through gentle sequences that build communication and confidence between dog and handler.

For all dogs and all people

  • Handlers who don’t want to run

  • Older dogs or dogs with mobility limits

  • Young dogs building confidence and body awareness

  • Dogs that find busy class environments overwhelming

The focus is on building trust, clarity, and teamwork between you and your dog.

How Classes work

Structured training in a calm environment

Classes focus on helping dogs and handlers build skills step-by-step. Each team works individually in the training space while others wait their turn, helping dogs stay relaxed and focused.

Sessions typically include:

  • skill practice on small sequences

  • guided course runs

  • coaching on handling and communication

or Want to know more?

Because every dog and handler is different, there’s no automated booking system. Instead, send a message and Penny will get back to you to discuss:

  • your dog’s age, experience and needs

  • what you’d like to work on

  • which classes or training options may suit you

There’s no pressure, just a conversation about what might work best for you and your dog.
